Conclusion
The minimum wages in Mizoram, among many other government efforts, do give due importance to the welfare of employees in the form of a fair minimum remuneration to establish the foundation for a humane work environment. The policy aims to protect and safeguard the employees’ rights by setting the minimum wages (effective from April 1, 2023) for an unskilled worker at Rs 420 to Rs 730 for a skilled worker. This provides a basis upon which the employers and, for that matter, the employees operate.
