Gujarat’s labor and employment department issued the new minimum wage order to 46 businesses in Zone-I and Zone-II.

• Zone-I consists of all municipal corporations.
• Zone-II consists of all the Major municipalities which have more than 1 lakh population

• Area A: Comprises the limits of the Ahmedabad municipal area, including 10 km beyond the previously mentioned limit.
• Area B: Consists of the limits of Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh municipal areas within 5 km beyond the aforementioned limits.
• Area C: Includes all other areas not covered in Areas A and B.
